The Model 496-2CF Interframe Video Signal Multiplexer (2 channel), or Video Combiner, doubles the transmission
capacity of a conventional video channel by combining (multiplexing) two NTSC or PAL video signals into one video
signal. Use the 496-2CF to multiplex video signals at the transmit end of a video transmission channel.
A Video Demultiplexer Model 497-2CF at the receive-end of the
channel separates the two combined signals for normal viewing or recording. The multiplexed video signal can
also be recorded using conventional equipment and then played back for demultiplexing
The Interframe Video Multiplexer combines every other frame from each input on an alternating basis to form
a single standard video output. Video inputs to the interframe video multiplexer from analog tape or line-locked
cameras must be time base corrected.
